The Chair of Adult Education at the BWP Conference
The Chair of Adult Education was once again successfully represented at this year's Vocational and Business Education and Management Training (BWP) section conference of the German Society for Educational Science (DGfE).
In the Young Researcher Sessions on the first day of the conference, doctoral student Anna Stytsenko presented her dissertation entitled "Policy transfer in the field of vocational education and training. An empirical study on the introduction of cooperative training approaches in Kyrgyzstan". Doctoral student Alina Praun also presented the current status of her work on the topic of "Interdisciplinarity in continuing academic education. Designing border crossings in program and offer planning". Both young researchers received valuable feedback and new impetus for the further development of their research.
The successful conclusion to the first day of the conference was the science slam organized by Alina Praun and Jennifer Schauer. The participants presented their research from vocational and Business Education and Management Training in an entertaining and humorous way, which made for a lively and creative end to the evening.
Another key highlight was the symposium organized by Prof. Dr. Sandra Bohlinger and Anne Bies entitled "Vocational education and training transfer in the focus of vocational education and training research "*, which focused on questions relating to the relationship between vocational education and training research and cooperation. The lively discussions led to new insights and an in-depth examination of the topic. Our special thanks go to the Advisors Prof. Dr. Philipp Gonon (University of Zurich), Prof. Dr. Matthias Pilz (University of Cologne), Prof. Dr. Axel Grimm (University of Flensburg), Prof. Dr. Olga Zlatkin-Trotschanskaia (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), Antje Wessels (DLR Project Management Agency) and the other contributors Claudia Hunink (University of Osnabrück), Susanne Peters (University of Bremen) and our former employees Hoang Long Nguyen (SRH Fernhochschule) and Ianina Scheuch (TU Dresden), who enriched the symposium with their contributions.
Another highlight was the symposium "Focus on company training personnel: Acceptance and practical transfer of qualification concepts", which took place as part of the InnoVET/CLOU research project. Prof. Dr. Sandra Bohlinger opened the symposium and introduced the topics. The chair was represented by Dr. habil. Ina Krause and Anne Bies, who dealt with the role of educational institutions and the question of new network structures in the implementation of practical training concepts for in-company training personnel. Other exciting contributions came from Dr. Frank Ragutt (TUD Dresden University of Technology Dortmund) and our project partners Luisa Kresse, Juliana Dienel and Prof. Dr. Manuela Niethammer (all TU Dresden), who moderated the forum. Special thanks go to the discussants Prof. Dr. Hugo Kremer (University of Paderborn), Anke Bahl (BiBB) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Dietrich (University of Rostock), who enriched the presentations with their critical comments and perspectives, as well as to the plenum, which actively participated in the discussions.
On the last day of the conference, Dr. Christian Müller and Dr. Hoang Long Nguyen presented their current research in the lecture "Corporate continuing education research at a glance - a systematic literature review". This contribution was also met with great interest and led to intensive discussions.
Overall, we can look back on an all-round successful conference, which not only promoted scientific exchange, but also contributed to the further development of our research projects and networking with other scientists.
