Summary:
A main educational mission of university teaching is to enable students to address key social issues in a global context. The concept of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) provides an adequate pedagogical framework for this development of competences. The aim of the project is to develop and apply a possible procedure for the integration of ESD into subject-specific and subject-didactic teacher training using the example of the integrative subject Economy-Technology-Household/Social issues. Here, the focus is on competences that should be developed and appropriate methods. The overall project, entitled 'ESD-Implementation', is designed as Design-Based Research. The first step, an Analysis of current situation, was processed through autoethnography and analyzed focusing on ‚time‘ as a relevant factor.
