As the inaugural conference of stsing e.V., a new research association on STS in Germany, this event will bring more than 250 reseachers from 21 countries to Dresden to discuss current perspectives in the humanities and social sciences on the societal dimensions and relations of technology, medicine, and the environmental and natural sciences.

The umbrella theme "Leakage" brings together questions on environmental porosities and permeable infrastructures with regard to data, human-machine interaction, environmental engineering and sensing, health care, and energy systems.
