Event series "In the greenhouse: Rethinking the atmosphere with science fiction"
We are pleased to announce the event series"In the Greenhouse: Rethinking the Atmosphere with Science Fiction", which is organized in cooperation with the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden by the Chair of North American Literature
with a focus on Future Studies. It will take place as part of the special exhibition "The Air We Share" and in conjunction with the seminar "Atmospheric ImaginAries: Literature and Air" (TUD, SLK) and is aimed at all interested parties.
The focus is on cultural negotiations and visions of the future relating to life with atmospheric environments. Special emphasis will be placed on artificial atmospheres in science fiction, atmospheric justice, Afrofuturism and geoengineering in the context of science fiction. Upcoming dates are as follows:
