A completed calculation of semester courses (link below) must also be included. In order to check whether your previous examinations are sufficient to enter into a higher semester in the program, please send the following documents in a timely manner to the advisor for the bachelor's program:
- Application for the Recognition of Examinations. Please attach a verified overview of grades and certified copies of proof of examinations to the application.
- Completed Calculation Form
- An overview of the examinations, for which no proof is as of yet available (The formal acknowledgment of these examinations can be accepted after admission to the TU Dresden.)
- A certificate of admission from the previous university which indicates the previous subjects of study and completed semesters.
Please note that incomplete applications cannot be processed. They will be returned to the applicant for completion, which will delay the issuance of the proof of examinations.
If the advisor approves your application for entering into a higher semester, then it will be forwarded to the examination board for a decision. After making a decision, the placement notification will be sent back to you. Using this notification, you can apply for the correct semester. (Note: in this case, there is a separate application: “Application for Calculation of Semesters”). The application for semester calculations must arrive at the Admissions Office by July 31st.
If the institute denies your application, you may still apply for the first semester in the normal fashion. Where applicable, certain examinations may still be recognized.
