Prof. Dr. Marina Münkler has held the Chair of Medieval and Early Modern German Literature and Culture at Dresden University of Technology since January 2010. She is a member of the concept group "Invectivity" and has headed the sub-project E "Sacredness and Sacrilege. The Disparagement of the Sacred within the Interconfessional Dispute of the 16th Century". For the project "Protestant Hagiography and Sermons on the Turks", she draws on her research on invectivity and the experience of the strangeness. Dr. Antje Sablotny studied literature and musicology at Dresden University of Technology and completed her doctorate on Wolfram von Eschenbach's "Parzival". As part of the Dresden CRC 1285 "Invectivity", she has already published on the so-called 'Lügenden' (lying legends), with whom Luther and his followers disparage the old believer's legends. For her current habilitation project on Protestant hagiography in the 16th century, she is directly following on from this work. Theresa Beckert studied to become a secondary school teacher of German and art at Dresden University of Technology and was a doctoral scholarship holder of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst e.V. She is currently working on her doctorate on the so-called 'Türkenpredigten' (sermons on the Turks) in the 16th century. In preparation, she has already written a examination thesis on the aspect of secondary stigmatization and, together with Marina Münkler, an essay on "The 'Turks' in works of collective knowledge of the 15th-17th centuries". Dr. Albrecht Dröse works as a Research Associate at the Chair of Medieval and Early Modern German Literature and Culture and as a Managing Assistant and Student Advisor at the Institute of German Studies and Media Cultures at Dresden University of Technology. He completed his doctorate on Johannes von Tepl's "Ackermann" and was already part of the staff of the CRC 1285 "Invectivity".
