Oral exams
The oral state examination
The examiner is Dr. Anne-Marie Lachmund and is chaired by a representative of the LASUB.
The oral examination lasts 25 minutes in the case of a separate examination. It consists of two parts:
- a first part on a main topic of your choice (15 minutes in the foreign language French or Italian).
- a second part with questions on basic knowledge and general questions on subject didactics (10 minutes in German).
The main topic for the first part is agreed via the OPAL course for the oral examination. The second part of the exam deals with general questions on foreign language didactics.
The exam should show that you are able to develop well-founded positions on practical issues against the theoretical background of subject-specific didactic research. In addition to definitional questions, you should also be able to comment on teaching materials and answer practical questions from the everyday life of a teacher.
Please contact the examiner Dr. Lachmund in good time. Enrolment in the OPAL course is by e-mail. You will receive further information about the exam after enrolling in the OPAL course.
Criteria for the assessment are a) knowledge (of the terms, concepts, models, definitions), b) transfer (application of the theory to an example), c) assessment (critical classification, own position), d) presentation (differentiated, technical language, fluent).
