Stay abroad

Students at the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies have a variety of options of supplementing their studies in Dresden with a study abroad or a stay abroad.

• You may choose to enroll for one of the integrated binational courses of study (Doppia Laurea with Università degli Studi di Trento) at SLK Faculty and thereby simultaneously get a domestic and a foreign university degree.
• You may choose to request credit in the framework of the partially required Aqua stay abroad of the subject-specific BA Program of the SLK Faculty for a stay abroad that was completed during the semester break.
• You may do one part of your studies abroad via the ERASMUS+ Program or other joint university co-operations with foreign universities, and after you return home, request credit for the classes you have completed there.
• You can also receive credit for an internship done abroad in fulfillment of a partially required Aqua internship of the subject-specific Bachelor Program of the Faculty SLK.
• You can file for a holiday semester/leave of absence from TU Dresden for the duration of your stay abroad.
• The website of the International Centers of the Faculty offers more information on other learning opportunities and french-spreaking, latin-american or Italian contexts.
• With the help from Regional Ambassadors of the TU Dresden, students have the possibility to have a first contact person in a foreign country. They can help facilitate the start in another country.
