Brief description
The International Management (IM) degree program is a joint programme between the International University Institute Zittau (IHI Zittau, Central Scientific Institution of the TU Dresden) and the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG) and is located in the border triangle of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. Internationality is an integral part of the program due to the location, the course content, and the international student body, especially in the context of the double degrees offered. Accordingly, the students and prospective students of the cooperative Master's program IM show a strong heterogeneity with regard to their subject-specific and interdisciplinary competencies as well as their individual and cultural character. Consequently, (potential) students and teachers have to cope with a number of uncertainties that need to be addressed in order to facilitate entry and promote the success of the program as well as its quality.
The aim of this project is therefore to develop an OSA for the International Management degree programme. The associated deeper insight into the content and process of the degree program should enable a comparison of expectations. In addition, the targeted recommendations for action, literature, and training based on the test results are intended to facilitate entry into the Master's program. Both subject-related content (e.g. business studies, statistics, international management, etc.) and interdisciplinary topics (dealing with LMS, digital teaching-learning scenarios, academic work, self-learning management, learning in the classroom, etc.) are covered. The project takes into account the different aspects of teaching and learning (e.g. working, self-learning management, learning in culturally mixed student groups, etc.). With our project, we want to minimize the probability of students dropping out, increase student satisfaction and promote the quality of academic performance.
