Spring Retreat 2020
In many cases events had to be canceled or postponed due to developments around Covid-19. Also we as members of the RTG2323 were not able to go Altenberg at the beginning of April as planned to have our annual retreat there.
However, the previous planning was not discarded. Instead, we worked on an alternative concept for the realization of the retreat and changed the program to a virtual retreat. Thanks to the committed contribution of Franziska Kessler and Felix Miesen (doctoral researchers), Antje Proske and Jens Helmert (mentors) as well as Susanne Narciss and Leon Urbas (principal investigators), two virtual sessions as well as a presence session were organized with the aim of strengthening the interdisciplinary cooperation.
In the first session, the progress of the respective projects was highlighted and located within the thematic orientation of the RTG. The two subsequent sessions were based on this and increasingly aimed at identifying overlaps between the individual projects and finding common project approaches. Through exciting discussions, first ideas could already be developed.
We are pleased that we were able to find a suitable platform for scientific exchange despite the circumstances and that interdisciplinary work between the participating disciplines was further promoted despite physical distance.
