Leon Urbas (IEEE, VDI/VDE GMA, NAMUR, ProcessNet, DKE) directs the Chair of Process Control Systems Engineering and is head of the Process Systems Engineering Group at Technische Universität Dresden. His research interest focuses on the digital transformation of the process industries. A key element of the work of his group are formal information models in modular process design / process automation and their application in model driven methods and integrated workflows for engineering and operation of chemical plants. These technology oriented topics are supported by basic research regarding the design of human-technology cooperation in cyber-physical production systems.
