ILK scientists honored at the Faculty Day

Dr.-Ing. Juliane Troschitz was awarded the Manfred Hirschvogel Prize 2023 in the presence of the prize donors for her outstanding dissertation Contribution to the molding of inserts in continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic components. The Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering graduate accepted the award at the Faculty Day in Dresden's Bouvelvardtheater on June 24, 2023. Dr.-Ing. Marc Hirschvogel, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation, presented the award, which is endowed with 5000 euros. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Beckmann, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering at TU Dresden, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maik Gude, ILK Board Member, also attended the event with congratulatory speeches.
Since 2013, the Manfred Hirschvogel Prize has been awarded to the best dissertation of the previous calendar year at the "Day of the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering" graduation ceremony. The prize is awarded in honour of Dr. Manfred Hirschvogel, who led the Hirschvogel Automotive Group as managing family shareholder to become a global leader in the forging industry. In 2007, Dr. Manfred Hirschvogel and his wife established the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation, which focuses on the promotion of education, science and research.
ILK scientist Dipl.-Ing. Lisa Dahrmann was also honored on the Day of the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering. She received the BASF prize for her outstanding diploma thesis on the recycling of injection molding compounds .

BASF Schwarzheide GmbH and the Society of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden e.V. award the BASF Schwarzheide GmbH Sponsorship Prize in recognition of particularly outstanding student and scientific work in the field of process engineering, with a particular focus on sustainability or digitalization.
The prize, worth 1500 euros, was presented to Lisa Dahrmann by Julie de Keyser, Vice President Site Services & Infrastructure and member of the site management of BASF-Schwazheide GmbH.
