Objectives: |
The main function of a shaft is the transmission of torque between drive and output. At the same time, it supports stationary and moving machine elements, similar to an axle. The failure of shafts and shaft-hub connections often leads to the total failure of the system. A reliable and safe design is therefore of great importance. Since the first edition of DIN 743 "Calculation of load capacity of shafts and axles", we are strongly involved in its development and happy to answer any questions you may have. Our goal is the continuous development and improvement of load capacity calculations. In addition to classical shaft calculation, we have developed an approach for the calculation of self-centering crown gearing and took part in the development of the load-bearing capacity analysis of splined-shaft connections. |
