KIOPtiPack
The KIOptiPack project brings together 49 project partners who are developing and researching in various work packages to enable 'Design for Recycling' and 'Design with Recycling' packaging and thus contribute to a sustainable circular economy. The focus is on post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastic. Specifically, (AI-) tools are being developed and know-how produced to enable the companies involved in the project, and many beyond, to design packaging and keep it in a cycle while also making the initial packaging itself from recycled plastic. Technisches Design is responsible for issues surrounding acceptance. Two questions in particular are at the forefront: How high is the acceptance of packaging made from PCR plastic in different areas of application (food, medicines, cosmetics) and how can the acceptance of recycled packaging be specifically increased? To answer these questions, empirical studies are being conducted together with other project partners.
