Project title: SUDIECO - Sustainability by design for circular economy and local value chains
project duration: 01.08.2024 to 31.07.2028

How do we design products, services, product-service systems and infrastructures in the face of the challenges of climate change and resource scarcity, a growing world population and increasing social inequality? Design plays a key role in the resilience and innovative strength of a business location. As a cross-sectional discipline, it can significantly support the transformation towards decreasing primary raw material consumption, material cycles and long-term value retention of raw materials and products. This requires interaction with other disciplines as well as with stakeholders from business, politics and society. SUDIECO enables the establishment of long-term cooperation with other system experts with the aim of integrating sustainability principles into the design of the circular economy and local value chains, particularly with a focus on effectiveness.
