National and international cooperation
Apart from the educational activities in the respective fields, the activities of the institute also include research projects and research tasks supported by public funds as well as granted from the processing industry.

National and international cooperation
Our cooperation with research institutes from other universities, or other public research organisations is normally based on temporarily funded research projects. Such cooperations can either be attributed to fundamental research, for example funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, but they may also have a more applied focus and pre-competional character.
The cooperation with private companies may either be initiated through direct assignmnts from the industry, or through project that are funded by the Federal Ministry of Enonomics and Energy, and that also contribute to knowledge transfer.
