Every year, nearly 100 young scientists enter doctoral and post-doctoral programmes at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with more than 20 percent being women - an increasing trend. In addition to curiosity and thirst for knowledge, all have one thing in common - the ideal level of qualification for top positions. Doctoral and post-doctoral degrees mean more than just scientific qualification work. The path to the scientist title is experience- and network-oriented!

The ceremonial presentation of doctoral and habilitation certificates takes place every year on the "Day of the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering". This ceremony is a tradition that we consciously cultivate. We honor the successful qualification of early-career researchers and use the festive setting to present awards and prizes that document outstanding achievements at our faculty:
Take the opportunity to celebrate your "Dr.-Ing." all evening long and to catch up with each other after many years of scientific work!
