Large number of submissions for the joint annual meeting of ICOM-UMAC and UNIVERSEUM at TUD in September 2024

From September 24 to 29, 2024, ICOM-UMAC and UNIVERSEUM, two major international associations for university collections, will come together at TU Dresden for their first joint annual meeting. Under the title "Shaping Transformation. University Collections in a Changing World", the community will examine and discuss the effects of transformation processes on university collections and academic heritage.

Numerous experts from all over the world have responded to an invitation to submit paper proposals for this unique conference, which is being organized by the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific, and Art Collections at TU Dresden. We received a total of 177 abstracts for lectures, flash talks, posters and other presentation formats, which shed light on very different facets of the conference theme. An international committee consisting of high-profile colleagues has reviewed the submissions, and has selected the most suitable contributions for the conference.

A preliminary program will be published soon on the conference website.
