What we do
As Equal Opportunities Officers, we address the wide range of topics associated with gender equality and diversity, and also tackle related issues such as the balance between work/study and family life. In this way, we support the Faculty in implementing the legally mandated equal opportunity regulations. We also provide individual consultations for students and staff on all aspects of equal opportunity and diversity.

Gender equality
Gender equality means that all individuals have access to the same opportunities, are valued equally and have the same decision-making powers regardless of their gender. In the process, differences between genders are acknowledged, but not stereotyped. In a professional context, gender equality focuses on ending underrepresentation in leadership positions and eliminating gender-based discrimination.

Family friendliness
The contemporary definition of family covers the wide varieties of ways in which children grow to become members of society under the care of adults. Their experiences will shape our future, which is why caregiving adults must have the opportunity to develop stable families. We must provide a structure that recognizes and supports their individual needs.
For students
Equal opportunity is also a fundamental topic for students. Find out which issues we are tackling on behalf of students and how you, as a student, can contribute to improving equal opportunities at our Faculty.
