The Institute

The Institute for Medical Informatics and Biometry (IMB) is part of the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine at the Technische Universität Dresden. The research of the IMB focuses on medical systems biology / systems medicine and medical informatics. Here, the development and application of mathematical and computational methods are used to advance our understanding of diseases as well as to improve and develop new therapeutic approaches and to support innovative health care strategies. We are involved in the German Medical Informatics Initiative.
