Studying Food Chemistry
Food chemistry is a chemical science with a strong relation to biological and physiological questions. The interdisciplinary appeal of the subject lies in the combination of the various fields of chemistry, especially organic, biological and analytical chemistry, with related natural and engineering science subjects such as microbiology, food and biotechnology, toxicology and nutrition science. In addition, there is a close connection to special fields of law such as food law.

Good information - good decision!
Food Chemistry is a very exciting discipline at the interface of chemistry, biology, medicine/pharmacy, food and biotechnology. Anyone who deals with food chemistry works interdisciplinarily in every respect. And food chemists are much more than "pure analysts" - they are generalists rather than specialists, and thus experts in all questions relating to food and nutrition.
But before you embark on the adventure of studying, you should know what to expect. That's why, in addition to the information on our website, we also offer personal study counselling, for which appointments can be arranged individually.
Please also refer to the general offer of the university. On University Day or the Long Night of Science, you can gain good insights with personal conversations. UNI TESTEN
