Seven earn doctoral degree
The Institute for Nuclear and Particle Physics is happy to welcome seven(!!) new graduates who have successfully defended their doctoral theses in the past weeks. After positive evaluation of the dissertation, all candidates underwent an oral examination (Rigorosum) and a public disputation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, examinations and disputation were held as hybrid events or even completely online. The research work was conducted and supervised in the working groups of Prof. Michael Kobel, Emmy Noether group leader Dr. Frank Siegert, Prof. Arno Straessner and Prof. Kai Zuber.
Congratulations to (in alphabetical order) Carsten Bittrich, Max Hils, Philipp Horn, Sebastian Liebschner, Nico Madysa, Birgit Zatschler and Stefan Zatschler!
