Visiting Scientist at the IKTP

Despoina Sampsonidou from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, will be a one month visiting scientist at IKTP from Nov 19 on. She will work together with scientists at IKTP on the study of the W±Z production via Vector Boson Scattering (VBS) in ATLAS. The VBS Dresden team has been working on the WZ fully leptonic analysis since the 8 TeV publication and it is involved in the run 2 13 TeV data analysis. During Despina´s visit, the plan is to concentrate on the background estimation both for the inclusive and the VBS phase space. Her visit will allow a close collaboration with the TU Dresden team in a crucial time scale for the next publication.
