New Small Animal PET Scanner

Thanks to our colleagues at OncoRay, it was possible to acquire a ClearPET for the IKTP! It is a small animal machine with an innovative detector concept developed by high-energy physicists (don't miss Paul Lecoq, one of its "fathers" in the Institutsseminar!). The interface between HEP and medical imaging alone makes it worth to have this machine here. In addition, it complements the aging educational PET. It is for sure an interesting Bachelor- or Masterthesis to design a challenging and interesting laboratory excercise on detector physics and image reconstruction around this device ...
