Dr. Kai Schmidt-Hoberg: Hunting dark matter in the sky and at colliders
01062 Dresden
Kurzfassung: I will discuss different possible candidates for what could be the dark matter in our Universe and how to find out experimentally. Specifically, I will cover searches for dark matter in astrophysical as well as collider based experiments with a particular focus on the complementarity between the different searches. I will also comment on the interesting possibility that dark matter may be self-interacting.
Biographie: Kai Schmidt-Hoberg completed his PhD at DESY in 2007. In the following years, he had different postdoc appointments in Munich, Oxford, and at CERN. Since 2014, he is staff member at DESY. With a start in 2015, he runs an ERC starting grant as principle investigator.
