The lectures and tutorials in the specialisation "Nuclear and Particle Physics" are a combination of experimental and theoretical courses given by experts in the field. The laboratory courses also mix theory and experiment in order to present a broad overview of the different research techniques.

The lab courses provide a practical introduction into modern experimental methods and techniques in particle and nuclear physics. Basic and advanced physics labs are part of the Bachelor curriculum in Physics. The advanced lab course of the Physics Master programme combines theory and experiment and offers the opportunity to learn about the different aspects of particle and nuclear physics research before starting the Master thesis.
