HRK project on credit transfer invites participation
"Strengthening mobility and permeability" is the goal of the HRK's MODUS project, which aims to improve recognition and credit transfer at universities. The educational landscape is becoming more diverse and more differentiated. As a result, students' demands for greater mobility, permeability and flexibility in the European Higher Education Area are growing. This can be achieved if procedures are optimized while maintaining the high quality standards of a course of study. This includes both the recognition of higher education achievements and qualifications from Germany and abroad and the individual and blanket recognition of competencies acquired outside of higher education.
The project will work on three core areas until mid-2025:
- Coordination and dissemination of common standards
- Facilitation of work through efficient procedures
- Increased use of digital infrastructures, including testing of innovative pilot applications.
Over the past few months, the course has been set and the foundations laid for a successful project. Now it is time to present the project, take questions and suggestions from the universities and invite them to participate.
The kick-off event "Successfully shaping recognition and credit" will take place online on February 2 and 3, 2021 and is aimed at university, faculty and department heads, lecturers and students as well as responsible employees in the institutions who are operationally or strategically involved with recognition and/or the awarding of credit. If you are interested, you are welcome to register directly with the HRK for the kick-off event.
The International Office of the TU Dresden is also very committed to the recognition and crediting of its students' achievements abroad. In order to be able to present as broad a portfolio of opinions and descriptions of current procedures as possible, it would be desirable for the above-mentioned groups of people to participate in the kick-off event.
