The Center for International Studies is the focus of the alumni magazine
The current issue examines TU Dresden’s Center for International Studies (German abbreviation: ZIS). The degree program “International Relations”, the only one of its kind in Germany, is on offer at this institution. This entails that economics, international law and political science are studied in equal measure. Consequently, there is more advice and support available than for other degree programs. The Bachelor’s degree course introduced in 1998 was an undergraduate and interdisciplinary program. It did not follow the classic structure of major and minor subjects. Instead, each subject was studied on an equal footing. Every year, 35 to 36 students are admitted to the Bachelor’s program, this year for the first time there are 39. In the Master’s program, it’s 25 to 30. And this year, for the first time, 38 students have enrolled. Their alumni are in great demand and they are setting out on exciting paths.
