The German National Association for Student Affairs (DSW) provides information on the various sources of funding: parental financial support, BAföG, student loans and jobs.
In addition, there are the many foundations and organisations for promoting talented students, which apart from providing financial assistance, concern themselves primarily with offering non-material and personal support.
In the current semester, 300 top-performing and particularly dedicated students are being supported through the Deutschlandstipendium programme.
The International Office advises on various funding options and awards scholarships to TUD students who spend a semester abroad as part of programs such as ERASMUS and PROMOS.
Further funding measures that are subject-specific or specific to certain occasions are also available.
