Between Christmas and New Year's Day, the Central Student Counseling and Information Service is not available.

The Central Student Information and Counseling Service help you find guidance and a degree program that suits you.
You can contact us with the following concerns, among others:
- Developing study and career aspirations
- Reviewing a desired course of study
- Weighing up different study options
- Clarification of interests, competencies and goals
- Developing future career prospects
- Planning the next steps
- Re-entry into studies
In addition, we address your special challenges in studying, such as a health impairment or family responsibilities. We also support international prospective students in deciding on the right course of study.

Open consultation hours
During open consultation hours, a student counselor is available to meet with you without a prior appointment
- on the floor 0 of the Fritz-Foerster-Bau (Show map of this location.) and
- also by telephone: +49 351 463-40392.
Note
- Please first go to the service point of the ServiceCenterStudies in the foyer of the Fritz-Foerster-Bau (Show map of this location.). There you will receive a call token.
- You can then go directly to waiting area 2 (Show map of this location.). You will then see your call on the monitor.

Individual counseling
For an individual consultation, you must first schedule an appointment. You can make an appointment by e-mail to (subject: Appointment Central Student Information and Counseling Service).
When making an appointment, please state your counseling requests and your main area of interest (e. g. scientific field or degree program). Counseling can also address multiple subjects, so even if you have a variety of interests, one counseling session may be sufficient.
We currently offer individual counseling sessions both face-to-face and online. Feel free to let us know your preference when you register.
