TUD Dresden University of Technology honors outstanding individuals
On Thursday at a special event in the Dülfersaal Ballroom, TUD Dresden University of Technology (TUD) celebrated outstanding individuals for their exceptional commitment and services to the university.
"Academic excellence requires a community spirit, in the sense of a coordinated and committed cooperation between many individual stakeholders. At TUD, this community also includes taking individual responsibility for our university. With the TUD I Honors, we recognize exceptional, individual commitment that is driven by vision and courage to stand up for one's own ideas, overcome obstacles, and shape the world around us," said Rector Prof. Ursula M. Staudinger.
The Senate decided in March to appoint Christiane Schaufler-Münch as a TUD honorary citizen. Her long-standing commitment in the form of THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, for example through the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden, the Schaufler Chair of Refrigeration, Cryogenics and Compressor Technology, the financing of Germany Scholarships and the support for the new building for the University School, has had a significant impact on our university.
