Standardization of OpenMP and OpenACC
The ZIH is actively involved in the standardization of the OpenMP and OpenACC programing interfaces.
OpenMP is a directive based programming interface for parallel programming following the shared memory model. TU Dresden is a member of the OpenMP comPunity (http://www.compunity.org/) and is engaged in the accelerator subcommittee as well as in the tools group.
OpenACC is a similar interface for the directive based programing of hardware accelerator devices. In particular it aims at a portable solution for using different kinds of accelerators with the same
interface. TU Dresden is a member of the OpenACC committee. Its special focus is the integration of tools interfaces into the standard.
