Abstract:
In this thesis, the precast and in-situ concrete construction methods are compared in terms of their ecological and economic sustainability. The focus here is on analysing the greenhouse gas emissions of the two design variants in life cycle phases A and C as well as at the end of system boundary D, whereby the main focus in these phases is on construction phases A4 to A5. In the course of the investigation of the life cycle phases, various components are conceptually constructed using both precast and in-situ concrete construction methods and evaluated with the aid of environmental product declarations and other environmentally relevant data. In the construction phase, the influence of transport and construction on the life cycle assessment of the components is analysed. In addition to the ecological assessment of the two variants, they are also compared with each other in terms of their manufacturing costs. The result of the ecological and economic comparison shows a significantly more expensive in-situ concrete variant, which is, however, more climate-friendly for the majority of the components analysed.
