Setting an example, planting 1,282 trees.
As part of the 31st Dresden Bridge Building Symposium, it was announced to donate one tree per guest in order to actively counteract climate change.
On 12 November 2022, Brian Bjørndal-Pedersen and Steffen Marx handed over a cheque worth € 3,846 to Johann-Georg Cyffka from the charitable foundation Wilderness International in Dresden. The cheque will be used for the campaign "My Tree - My Dresden", an initiative supported by many hard-working citizens of Dresden.
For today's planting action at the Maltengraben, employees of the Institute of Concrete Structures (IMB), Technische Universität Dresden and TUDIAS kindly helped to put the first part of the trees into the ground. While planting, the participants also received interesting information about plant science.
