Science meets art. Concrete ART Project 2022 for pupils

On 18.07.22 it starts in Aachen! Within the framework of our CRC/TRR280, children, young people, artists and scientists will give free rein to their creativity. In a sustainable and creative way, we want to inspire young people for the topic "Building in the future with concrete". In Dresden, the summer vacation project week starts on July 25, 2022.

In the Beton KUNST Projekt 2022, students can experience how art meets science from July 25-29, 2022. During the free experimentation, the participants can get to know different types of concrete as a particularly versatile material of the future. Playfully researching and trying out forming, we discover exciting combinations with other materials such as wood, clay, textiles and metal in different workshops. The Concrete ART Project 2022 is a cooperation of the Technische Universität Dresden and the JKS Dresden, and is accompanied by scientific staff of the Technische Universität Dresden, who support us on site with their know-how and technical support.

In a sustainable and creative way, we would like to inspire young people for the topic "Building in the future with concrete" - in the Concrete-Creative-LAB during the work weeks with the Bleibergerfabrik.

The ideas of the participants are artistically translated into pictures, models, sculptures, material collages made of concrete and materials. A week of experimentation, research and design.

The Beton KUNST Projekt 2022 is a cooperation between RWTH-Aachen and JKS Bleiberger Fabrik, and will be accompanied by scientific staff from RWTH-Aachen, who will provide on-site know-how and technical support.
