Studying at the Institute of Concrete Structures
At our institute, mostly courses in Civil Engineering and Advanced Computational and Civil Engineering Structural Studies (ACCESS) are supervised. In addition, we offer teaching in a interdisciplinary environment for the study programs water management, teaching post vocational school and industrial engineering.

The study program at the Institute of Concrete Structures
The Institute of Concrete Structures mainly holds lectures for the courses Civil Engineering and "Advanced Computational and Civil Engineering Structural Studies" (ACCESS). Additional to that we offer lectures for students of the Bachelor programme Water Management, the Master programme Economics and Engineering and the Bachelor/Diploma programmes Teacher Training (vocational schools). As a supplement to the lectures we offer study trips to civil engineering structures. Bachelor theses, diploma theses, project theses and project works and master theses can be written at the institute as well./We also supervise students writing their Bachelor theses, Diploma theses, project theses and project works and master theses at the institute.

Set a course:
In order to contribute to a successful infrastructure offensive with excellent interdisciplinary research and training work, Prof. Steffen Marx will take up the DB Netz AG endowed professorship for civil engineering at the Institute for Concrete Structures in spring 2020.
Over the next five years, the railway subsidiary DB Netz AG will finance the "DB Netz AG Endowed Professorship for Civil Engineering" at the Institute for Concrete Structures at Dresden University of Technology, from which it expects to receive a wide range of impulses for monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure as well as highly qualified young talent.
The signing of the foundation charter on February 1, 2020 marked the start of close cooperation. Prof. Steffen Marx from Hanover followed the call of the professorship and will dedicate himself to current railway-specific research questions in the coming years and thus commit himself to the maintenance and expansion of an optimally functioning railway network.
