A forum for authorities, associations, engineering offices and institutions of higher education
The Dresden Conference on Hydraulic Engineering, organised annually by the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Technical Hydromechanics, has been a synonym for the top-class exchange of knowledge and experience among national and international experts from hydraulic engineering and water management for the past 25 years.
The next Dresden Conferences on Hydraulic Engineering will take place on the following dates:
– 2022: 10th - 11th March

The Dresden Conference on Hydraulic Engineering
The Dresden Conferences on Hydraulic Engineering are highly frequented forums for experts, serving as a platform for the exchange of experience, the dissemination of new scientific findings, and the presentation of new hydraulic engineering projects and plans. Participants come from universities and research institutions, companies and engineering offices, and from public administration. There is always a large number of international experts among the participants, as well as TU Dresden graduates. The conference covers all areas of hydraulic engineering and hydromechanics that have been subject of research and teaching at the institute.
The first Dresden Conference on Hydraulic Engineering was held in 1954 to mark the 100th birthday of the founder of the Dresden Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory, Professor Hubert Engels. Since the mid-eighties, the colloquia have generally been held annually. They are still organised by the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Technical Hydromechanics, which is supported by the "Association of Sponsors of the Hubert Engels Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Technical Hydromechanics at Technische Universität Dresden e. V.".
