Development of compliant highly loaded elastomer composites based on hybrid yarns with adjustable bi-modular properties
Yarn reinforcements in elastomer composites typically lead to properties of either high ductility and relatively low strength or low ductility with high strength. The project aim is to achieve high ductility and high strength combined with an adjustable bi-modular stiffness behaviour by developing and application of hybrid yarns to elastomer composites
