Excursion: Flood Risk Management
The Tisza Projekt - a living case study
The international teaching modul on integrated flood risk management „FLOODmaster“ is carrying out an excursion to the Tisza river from 10th to 18th of September 2005. Main objective of the trip is to demonstrate the difficulties of a region suffering regularly from extreme flood events.The Tisza, situated within the border triangle of Hungary, Ukraina and Romania in the Transcarpathian, gives an excellent example for implementation of an international monitoring system aiming flood prevention and the reduction of flood damages.
Besides students participating in the FLOODmaster course we offer this excursion to interested graduate students, Ph. D. students as well as members of the scientific staff of the non university sectors.
