What is a master?
The Master is an academic degree that graduates obtain as a second degree in science education. Depending on the orientation, a master's program may serve to deepen the knowledge of previous studies or to open up new fields of knowledge. The students specialize in a selected subject area and gain the ability to work scientifically and independently.
Students should be prepared for a wide range of future employment opportunities, including academic work at universities and other research institutions or practical leadership in engineering and consulting. In contrast to the bachelor's program, the graduates of the master's program will increasingly work independently and are required to present and present their results in writing in the context of project and seminar work. At the same time they can test their acquired skills during an internship outside the university.
