Module Offerings
The complete list of elective modules is provided in Appendix 1 to the Examination Regulations. A detailed description of the respective content and learning outcomes, teaching methods, and assessment requirements can be found in the Module Handbook (Appendix 4a to the Study Regulations). Both documents are available under “Study Documents.”
Specialization Options
There are specializations within each of the four areas: Business Administration, Economics, Business Education and Management Training, and Supplementary Studies. These are
The table (Appendix 2 to the Study Regulations) specifieswhich modules belong to which areas of specialization. In principle, a module can be assigned to multiple areas of specialization simultaneously, even across different fields. Depending on the overlap in content, this assignment is either primary or secondary.
Choosing a Specialization
You are not required to choose any of the listed specializations! Instead, you decide for yourself which individual modules to take and to which specialization they should be assigned on your bachelor’s degree certificate. In doing so, you must, of course, observe the credit limits for the fields of Business Education and Management Training, Business Administration, and Economics. Modules count toward the field from which the ultimately chosen specialization originates. Please also note that in the field of Business Education and Management Training, at least 10 credit points must always come from modules assigned as primary in order to meet the credit limit! This applies to both tracks of study.
Once you have completed a sufficient number of modules belonging to a specialization, you can have this specialization listed as a major or minor on your transcript.
- A major requires modules from the concentration totaling at least 30 credit points, of which at least 20 must come from primary modules
- For a minor, modules from the area of specialization totaling at least 20 credit points are required, of which at least 15 must come from primary modules.
Depending on your choices, you can therefore have multiple majors and/or minors (or none at all) listed on your transcript!
