Our research is carried out as part of third-party funded projects, supported by various funding agencies. In cooperation with regional, national and international partners, we work theory-based and application-oriented.

Our research activities and fields are based on the defined objectives of the respective projects. We are currently working on the following projects:
- The e-learning working group is a scientific committee that supports universities in Saxony in pooling and jointly developing their potential in the field of e-learning
- The aim of the Trainer Community project is to create a community that offers individual support in the training process through personal and digital networking

Close the Gap - CtG-MigHa: AI-supported advisory and educational services for immigrants to close the gap between language or orientation courses and training or employment to qualify for the job market in retail.

Digital higher education in Saxony: Promotes the further development of digitally supported higher education in Saxony through support services in the area of digital tools and digital methods as well as through a Fellow program.

The LemaS transfer to the school landscape project involves the consolidation and further dissemination of the results from the first funding phase of the research and school development project. The digitalization of the LemaS content is a central area of work. A digital distribution platform is being developed for the sustainable and target group-oriented use of LemaS products and professionalization offers.

MetaHeritage: Through networking, innovation ecosystems and metaverse technologies, cultural heritage is made more visible in less developed regions, sustainable tourism is promoted and new business models are established.
- OLGA: Optimization of land use along water bodies and on agricultural land for the sustainable development of the Dresden region on the basis of hydrological, forestry, environmental psychology and economic research and implementation work: Research to promote and evaluate participation and citizen science to consolidate a solution approach for the implementation of the EC-WFD.
- ReGerecht: Development and testing of solutions for land use conflicts involving urban, peri-urban and rural stakeholders.

The SMART project supports partner universities from target countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to grow beyond their role as mere knowledge brokers and, supported by cooperation with local interest groups, to act as active shapers of the regional innovation ecosystem.
