Vocational education research
Aims and contents
The course "Vocational training research" is part of the module "Vocational didactics - learning in relation to work tasks" and focuses on the receptive and conceptual examination of development and research lines in vocational science, both on the macro level and on the micro level of educational design in the vocational field. To this end, exemplary examples from work and qualification research, occupational research and vocational didactic research are presented and discussed.
After completing the course, students will be able to deal with the content, objectives and methods of vocational training research, especially in the vocational department studied. In addition, they will be able to apply findings for the development of relevant research topics and methods in the context of writing the state examination thesis.

Teaching and learning methods
The module comprises lectures (2 SWS), seminars (2 SWS), practical course (2 SWS) and self-study.
Frequency of the module
The module is offered every academic year, starting in the summer semester.
Duration of the module
The module lasts two semesters.
