For students
On the one hand, the LernLaborFarbe is an extracurricular place of learning that deals with the topic of light and color. In order to approach different facets of the topic, we use the concept of project learning whenever possible. The methodology is characterized by the freedom to approach a complex problem in different ways - solutions are not strictly predetermined. In this way, learners have the opportunity to be creative, contribute their own ideas and try out approaches. This learning process takes place in a practical and everyday context.
Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Niethammer, the didactics of chemistry at TU Dresden is particularly concerned with the topic of project learning. In the module Subject Didactics II: Problem- and application-oriented chemistry teaching, in addition to other subject didactic content, the concept of project learning is not only approached theoretically but also practically and introduced to student teachers of chemistry (Gym, MS, BS). The LernLaborFarbe is a permanent partner here: together with experienced supervisors, the students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained. They develop and test project learning concepts, receive feedback on planning and implementation and thus gain practical experience.
The following topics have already been addressed by student concepts:
- Cosmetics without microplastics
- Healthy nutrition
- Superfoods
- Acid-base indicators
- and much more.
The LernLaborFarbe also cooperates successfully with various other disciplines, such as German, physics and geography. For example, the interdisciplinary block seminar on the color "green" was created.
