Study & Teaching
WELCOME
to the vocational specialization in Food, Nutrition and Home Economics (LEH), which you can study as a first or second vocational specialization in the degree program teacher training for vocational school.
We recommend that you choose LEH as your first vocational subject and combine it with a general education subject (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, English, German, etc.). For more detailed advice, please contact our academic advisor Dr. Kai Fischer before you enrol.
You can find Dr. Fischer's contact details on the page “The Chair” under the tab “Staff”.
Vocational specialization in Nutrition and Home Economics
What you should bring with you
The course is primarily aimed at people with an interest in (bio)chemical and physiological issues as well as social aspects relating to food and nutrition. You should also enjoy teaching these topics and working with young adults. Studying at a university also requires an open-minded approach to scientific work.
