ImkoStIng
"Implementation of cooperative degree programs in engineering education with selected universities in Saxony"
(since 2021)
The follow-up project to OptLA: Implementation of cooperative degree programsin engineering education with selected universities in Saxony - ImkoStIng - has been working on the introduction of the degree programs, the implementation of the cooperation, an information and advertising campaign as well as initial implementations in the form of blended learning offers and a communication platform for better networking of all participants since the beginning of the year.

"Option Study of Technical Teacher Training - Vocational Schools"
(07/2019 - 2020)
The project focuses on the development of a new cooperative Bachelor's degree program in "Engineering Pedagogy" in the Departments of Metal & Mechanical Engineering as well as Electrical Engineering and Information Technology for students at Saxon universities of applied sciences (West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, Zittau/ Görlitz University of Applied Sciences). The Bachelor's degree opens up the possibility of completing a teaching degree at TU Dresden. The project is funded by the Saxon Ministry of Science and the Arts.

Subject-related partnership Koudougou
"Development of a Master's degree program Master en Techniques et Formations Professionnelles (MTFP) at the University of Koudougou"

The project aims to design and introduce a Master's degree program in Vocational and Business Education and Management Training (Master en Techniques et Formations Professionnelles; MTFP) at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) of the University Norbert Zongo (UNZ) (former University of Koudougou (UK; until 2018)) in Burkina Faso from the winter semester 2017/18, taking into account international standards, pedagogical and didactic research as well as intercultural and society-specific know-how. It is funded by the DAAD.

ISEBS
"Integration of study elements in vocational education and training in Saxony"
(2017 - 2020)
The aim of the ISEBS project was to bring together vocational and academic education. Learners from several vocational schools in Saxony were able to attend courses at the TUD Dresden University of Technology as part of an "early study program" in addition to their training. The project was funded by the Bertelsmann Foundation.

POKROK.DIGITAL
"Practice-oriented skills development in production technology in the regions through cooperation.digital"
(2017 - 2019)
Together with the partners Technical University of Liberec, University "J. E. Purkyně" Liberec, the vocational school SPŠSE a VOŠ Liberec and the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, didactic concepts for learning in the field of production process planning and control were developed across borders. A digital learning platform for vocational and technical education in German and Czech vocational colleges and universities was developed. The European Regional Development Fund of the European Union (ERDF) and the Sächsische Aufbaubank supported the project.

Fact-finding mission
(2015)
The aim was to prepare a project application: International Center of Expertise for Vocational Education and Training. The project was designed in cooperation with the University of Norbert Zongo and the Ministry of Education Ministère de l'éducation nationale et de l'alphabetisation (MENA) in Burkina Faso, with the European University of Flensburg and the Association des Burkinabè et Amis en Saxe et en Allemagne (ABASA e.V.).

Exploration of teacher training - especially for the vocational education sector - at the University of Koudougou. In addition to experts from the University of Koudougou, non-university partners and government agencies were asked to participate in the fact-finding mission. The project involved planning and finally submitting a joint project application for a subject-related partnership. The project was funded by the DAAD and supported by the Association des Burkinabè et Amis en Saxe et en Allemagne; (ABASA e.V.).

SERENA Serious Game
Renewable energies for technical apprenticeships for girls
(2015 - 2017)
In the SERENA project, a gender-sensitive serious game (SG) designed for girls was developed and evaluated together with the Bonn Science Shop (lead partner), the game development company The Good Evil and the Chair of Psychology of Learning and Instruction at TU Dresden. The SG makes it possible to deal with the typical requirements of technical training occupations in the renewable energy sector in a playful way. The project was funded by the BMBF.
International education conference JEFOSP
(since 2013)
Organization of the annual education conference "Journées internationales d'Echanges sur l'Education, la Formation, l'Orientation/ Insertion Scolaire et Professionnelle (JEFOSP)" since 2013. The international and multidisciplinary exchange in Burkina Faso includes, for example, the topics: Design of teaching, vocational training, continuing vocational training, higher education, school education and career guidance.
The aim is to further develop the quality of education and guidance services. The project was co-initiated and is supported by the Association des Burkinabè et Amis en Saxe et en Allemagne (ABASA e.V.) and other partners from Burkina Faso and Germany.

"Process chain virtualization in planning for the development of an integrated teaching and learning concept"
(2013 - 2014)
Together with partners from the Chair of Mechanical Engineering at TU Dresden and TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the development of a study-accompanying concept for "complex learning and work tasks" on machining production processes was carried out. The aim was to ensure the linking of manufacturing fundamentals with process planning and implementation. The project was funded by the Higher Education Didactic Center of the Free State of Saxony (HDZ) and the BMBF.

Curriculum development Senegal
Curriculum development in the field of renewable energies (photovoltaics) in Senegal
(2012 - 2014)
In the project, multipliers were trained for the "solar technician" training occupation and a curriculum was developed that also enables graduates to become self-employed. The project was funded by GIZ and PERACOD ("Program for the Promotion of Renewable Energy, Rural Electrification and Sustainable Provision of Domestic Fuels").

"Cooperative education in the technical teaching profession"
(2010 - 2015)
Development and testing of an interdisciplinary degree program that enables enrolled students to obtain a professional qualification in a technical department in addition to the state examination. The project was carried out together with BFR Bautechnik and four inter-company training institutions in Dresden. It was funded by the European Social Fund of the European Union.

Renewable energies - new training fields for the future
(2009 - 2012)
With the support of the Weiterbildungs- und Qualifizierungs-Gesellschaft (WEQUA), curricula for initial training were revised for training occupations in the fields of wind energy, solar thermal energy and photovoltaics. In particular, content with a focus on renewable energies was integrated or provided in possible additional qualifications. The project was funded by the BMBF.

Technician study
"Analysis and description of occupational profiles as a basis for the development of curricula related to learning fields for training to become a state-certified technician in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Sanitary, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology"
(2008 - 2009)
The aim was to update the training framework plans for technician training in the Free State of Saxony - made possible by examining recent technical developments and their impact on the work of technicians in mechanical engineering. Data was collected through surveys for the update. The project was funded by the Free State of Saxony.
