University School Dresden
The University School Dresden is a pilot project which tests new concepts of learning within a school environment. The full-time day school teaches its students mostly via project work. The University School was established in the summer of 2019 with 200 students in grades 1–5 and now accommodates 500 students in grades 1–7. We are looking for students who are interested in participating in this learning method – in both project work and workshops.
Read the Universtitätsjournal (university newspaper) report “A Workshop for Life” to find out more about the first-year workshop students. You can download a PDF of the article (in German) from the university newspaper online archive: Issue 10/2020, page 4.
If you are interested in finding out more, we would be happy to hear from you via email at .

The Dresden University School is a joint project of the City of Dresden and the Technische Universität Dresden. It is a public and free community school run by the city, where innovative forms of teaching and learning are tested under scientific supervision. In addition, it is a training school for future teachers and, in the future, a further education school for teachers. The school trial is being scientifically supported by the ForUS research center at TU Dresden.
