Central Student Information and Counseling Service and Admissions Office

The Central Student Information and Counseling Service aims to provide orientation for prospective students and support them in their choice of degree program. For students who are already enrolled, there are also services designed to help them cope with the demands of studying. All offers and contact information can be found on the website of the Central Student Information and Counseling Service.

The Admissions Office is the point of contact for questions about applying for a degree program and study requirements as well as general questions about enrollment. You can find the contact details of the responsible clerks and further information on the Admissions Office website.

Student Advisory Service

The subject-related student advisory service supports students and prospective students in particular with questions regarding the content of their studies (including requirements and specific study prerequisites, content-related questions when transferring to TU Dresden or within TU Dresden, specialization options, module content, selection of courses, degrees) as well as with regard to challenges of study design and organization (individual study schedule planning, compatibility of studies and family and/or career; part-time studies). The aim is to start a conversation together and provide students with advice on how to manage their studies. The academic advisors for the Bachelor's degree in Social Education, Social Work and Welfare Science and for the consecutive Master's degree in Social Education offer regular consultation hours as part of their academic advising services.

Dr. Romy Simon is the academic advisor for the Bachelor's degree program . Romy Simon. The student advisor for the Master's degree program is Dr. phil. Annett Kupfer.

Examination Office

The Academic Examination Office administers the Institute's degree programs. This includes, for example, registration for examinations, applications for recognition of study and examination achievements as well as applications for placement in a higher semester. You can find the relevant forms on the Examination Office website, as well as contact details, office hours and current deadlines for exam registrations.

Examination Committee

An Examination Committee ensures that the provisions of the examination regulations are adhered to. It is also responsible for appointing examiners. The Institute has an Examination Committee for the Bachelor's degree program in Social Education, Social Work and Welfare Science, for the Master's degree program in Social Education and for the discontinued Diploma program in Educational Science, specializing in Social Education/Social Work.

Internship Office

The Internship Office is responsible for registration and checking that the requirements for the internship have been met. You can find further information and forms on this topic on the Internship Office website.

Module BAC AQ

General information on the BAC AQ (General Qualifications) module can be found in the study regulations for the Bachelor's degree program in Social Pedagogy, which can be found under Studying at the Institute or on the Faculty's website.

The registration for the examination in the module takes place under the term 'interdisciplinary cooperation', the submission of the portfolio via the mailbox of Mr. M.A. Jakob Göckeritz, together with the certificates of your attended courses. A standard cover sheet must be prepared.

Recognition officer

Mr. M.A. Jakob Göckeritz is currently the recognition officer. Students (usually already enrolled on the Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Social Education, Social Work and Welfare Science) can find the form "Application for recognition of study and / or examination achievements" and further information on the legal basis ("Annex to the application") on the Examination Office website under the degree program forms. Faculty Student Council EW/SP

The Faculty Student Council (FSR) is the lowest, but therefore the most important student representation and thus the direct contact for questions concerning your studies. Further information and contact details can be found on the FSR EW/SP website.
