Central Student Information and Counselling Services and Admissions Office
The Central Student Information and Counselling Service aims to provide orientation for prospective students and support them. For students who are already enrolled, there are also services that are there to help them cope with the demands associated with studying. All offers as well as contact information can be found on the website of the Central Student Information and Counselling Service.
The Admissions Office is the point of contact for questions about applying for a degree program and study requirements, as well as general questions about enrollment. You can find the contact information of the responsible person as well as further information on the website of the Admissions Office.
Academic Advice
The subject-related Student Information and Counselling Service supports students and prospective students in particular with regard to questions concerning the content of their studies (e.g. requirements and specific prerequisites, questions concerning the content when transferring to or within TU Dresden, specialization options, module content, selection of courses, degrees) as well as with regard to challenges in the design and organization of studies (individual study planning, compatibility of studies and family or job; part-time studies). The goal is to enter into a joint discussion and to advise students on how to best cope with their studies. The advisors of the Bachelor of Social Pedagogy, Social Work and Welfare Sciences as well as for the consecutive Master’s degree program of Social Pedagogy offer regular consultation hours as part of their academic advice service.
Dr.in phil. Romy Simon is the academic advisor for the Bachelor’s degree program. MS Dr. phil. Annett Kupfer is the academic advisor for the Master’s degree program.
Examination Office
The Academic Examination Office organizes the institute’s degree programs. The includes, for example, the registration for examinations, applications for the recognition of graded academic work as well as applications for entering into a higher semester. The relevant forms can be found on the website of the Examination Office, as well as contact details, office hours and current deadlines for exam registrations.
Examination Committee
An examination committee ensures that the provisions stipulated in the Examination Regulations are observed. It is also responsible for appointing examiners. At the institute, there is an examination committee for the Bachelor’s program in Social Pedagogy, Social Work and the Welfare Sciences, for the Master’s program in Social Pedagogy, and for the discontinued Diplom program in Educational Science, Social Pedagogy/Social Work. The committee chairperson of all three committees is Prof. Dr. Andreas Hanses.
Internship Office
The Internship Office is responsible for the registration and the examination of whether the requirements for the internship are being fulfilled. On the website of the Internship Office, you will find further information and forms concerning this topic.
Module BAC AQ
The general information about the module BAC AQ (General Qualifications) can be found in the study regulations of the Bachelor’s program in Social Pedagogy, which can be found under "Studying" at the institute or on the website of the faculty.
You can register for the examination in the module under the term “interdisciplinary cooperation”, and submit the portfolio via the mailbox of Ms Dipl.-Sozialpäd. M.A. Birgit Müller in room WEB 206 alongside the certificates of your attended courses. A standard cover sheet is to be included.

Please note the following change regarding the responsibility for the module BAC AQ: Questions regarding already registered portfolios in the module SP BAC AQ/EW SP BAC AQ in the current 19/20 winter semester should be addressed to Ms M.A. Henriette Grapentin. Recognition Officer
Mr M.A. Jakob Göckeritz is currently our Recognition Officer. The form “application for recognition of graded academic work” and further information on the legal basis (“attachment to the application”) can be found by students (usually those already enrolled on the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Social Pedagogy, Social Work and Welfare Sciences) on the page of the Examination Office under the forms for your degree program. EW/SP Faculty Students’ Council
The Faculty Students’ Council (FSR) is the lowest but also the most important level of student representation and therefore the first point of contact for questions concerning the degree program. Further information and contact details can be found on the FSR website.
Student Program Coordinators
At TU Dresden, Studentische Studiengangs-Koordinator*innen are contact persons for questions and problems related to the program in the context of quality development. For the Bachelor’s program, the student program coordinator is Ms Jessica Thum (), for the Master’s program Ms Amina Widmeier ().
