The international conference "Difference and Belonging: Indigenous and Autochthonous National Minorities in Europe's Transforming Regions" (MINREG2025) will be held from November 12-14, 2025, in Leipzig, Germany. Organized by the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography and associated institutions, the event aims to gather interdisciplinary perspectives on the role of indigenous and autochthonous minorities in relation to cultural, socio-economic, and political transformations in Europe. Scholars from various fields, including geography, cultural studies, and minority research, are encouraged to participate. The conference will explore topics such as cultural landscapes, regional development, identity conflicts, and participatory planning.
